About the estate
The family-run Domaine du Pere Jean is located in Saint-Lager at the foot of Mount Brouilly in the Beaujolais region and looks back on a long history. Founded by Jean-Claude Matray, the estate is now managed in the fourth generation by Julien Matray. The vineyard area covers eleven hectares on the slopes of Mount Brouilly, where the Gamay grape variety is predominantly cultivated. The portfolio includes red wines from the Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly appellations as well as a white Beaujolais-Villages introduced in recent years.
