About the estate
Founded in 1993 by Pierre Picot, the Domaine du Chaillot cultivates six hectares of vineyards in the heart of Berry. Situated on a unique terroir of micaschists and sedimentary rocks, the estate focuses on the cultivation of rare and ancestral grape varieties such as Tressailler and old Gamay vines. Viticulture is practiced using reasoned methods with attention to lunar cycles and the soil. The meticulous manual work from the harvest to bottling results in distinctive wines from the Châteaumeillant and Val de Loire IGP denominations.
