About the estate
The Domaine de Villargeau estate was established in 1991 by the Thibault family in Pougny in the Loire region. Brothers Jean-Fernand and François Thibault undertook the task of clearing hillsides that had been abandoned since the phylloxera crisis to replant them with vines. In 2000, Jean-Fernand's son Marc joined the family business following relevant training and experience. Located within the AOC Coteaux du Giennois denomination and certified under Terra Vitis, the winery cultivates vineyards situated on south and south-west facing slopes. Visitors are welcomed at the estate for guided tastings.
