About the estate

The Domaine de la Motte estate covers 18 hectares of vineyards in Rochefort-sur-Loire within the historical wine region of Anjou in the Loire Valley. The vineyards are situated on the schist and sandstone soils of the Anjou Noir between the Loire River and its tributary the Layon. The grape varieties cultivated include Chenin for dry and sweet wines, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon for red and rosé wines, alongside Grolleau Noir, Grolleau Gris, and a plot of Pineau d'Aunis. The estate operates according to organic farming standards and carries out all harvests manually. Its production encompasses wines from appellations such as Anjou Blanc, Anjou Villages, Coteaux du Layon, and Crémant de Loire.
