The family-run Domaine de la Croix Mélier estate is located in the Loire Valley and covers twelve hectares of vineyards in the communes of Montlouis-sur-Loire and Saint-Martin-le-Beau. The vineyards are situated on soils composed of clay, sand, and flint with a subsoil of tuffeau between the Loire and Cher rivers. The main focus is on the Chenin Blanc grape variety, which is characteristic of the Montlouis-sur-Loire appellation, alongside varieties used for Touraine appellation wines. The estate practices mechanical soil cultivation without herbicides and has been certified for organic farming since the 2022 vintage.
