About the estate
The Domaine Chaumeau-Balland estate is situated in Bué near Sancerre and looks back on a history spanning five generations. In 1983, Pierre Chaumeau and his son Jean Pierre Chaumeau established the current operational focus on wine production and commercialization. Today, the family manages fourteen hectares of vineyards, comprising eleven hectares planted with Sauvignon Blanc and three hectares with Pinot Noir across soils of caillottes, grillotes, marl, and flint. The resulting wines of the AOC Sancerre denomination encompass white, red, and rosé styles.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to horeca. Export markets include United Kingdom and Belgium.
