About the estate
The Domaine Château Grenouilles estate has been part of La Chablisienne since 2003 and farms an exceptional site in the heart of the Grand Cru hill in Chablis in Burgundy. The vineyard soils consist predominantly of Kimmeridgian, an alternation of marl and marly limestone with small oyster fossil deposits that impart a distinct mineral imprint to the wines. Chardonnay is cultivated exclusively as the single grape variety, producing wines under the Petit Chablis, AOC Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru, and Chablis Grand Cru appellations. Depending on the specific terroir and classification, these wines develop unique characters and varying aging capacities.
