About the estate
Established in 1975, the Domaine Bernard Baudry estate covers 32 hectares of vineyards within the Chinon appellation. Run as a family enterprise across generations, the winery has farmed its entire vineyard organically since 2006. The vines grow on diverse terroirs featuring gravel in the plains, clay-limestone on the slopes, and sandy limestone on the plateaus. The primary grape variety cultivated is Cabernet Franc, alongside a small production of Chenin Blanc. The estate applies environmentally respectful methods and practices plot-by-plot vinification to reflect the varied soils.
