About the estate
The Deutschmann estate is a small family winery located in Stainz in western Styria. The historical winegrower's house dating from 1768 was opened as a traditional wine tavern in 1966 and has been managed by Eva and Franz Deutschmann since 1995. The winery cultivates 1.2 hectares of vineyards, with the Blauer Wildbacher grape variety accounting for eighty percent of the area. In addition to traditional Schilcher produced in various styles and as red wine, the portfolio includes Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Zweigelt. The vineyards are managed using training systems such as single-wire training with double-stock planting as well as Sylvoz training.
