About the estate
The Dehesa de los Canónigos estate traces its origins back to an estate acquired in 1842 by Toribio de Lecanda und Campo in the Ribera del Duero DO and is now managed by the Sanz Cid family. Each plot is harvested and vinified separately, with alcoholic fermentation taking place using natural yeasts from the vineyard itself. Afterwards, the wines mature primarily in one- to two-year-old American oak barrels. Belén Sanz Cid serves as the technical director and winemaker, while Iván Sanz Cid oversees general management. The winery's wines are exported to more than 20 countries worldwide.
