About the estate

The Poggio di Bortolone estate is located in the southeast of Sicily and is managed by Pierluigi Cosenza in the seventh generation. The Cosenza family acquired the property at the end of the eighteenth century and has since cultivated the vineyards with a focus on biodiversity and low yields per hectare. The historic infrastructure includes a nineteenth-century building alongside traditional wooden barrels and modern stainless steel tanks. The winery produces characterful wines that reflect the regional terroir and build upon a long-standing winemaking tradition.
