About the estate
The Conjunto etnográfico de El Cotarro project was initiated in 2015 by the municipal administration of Moradillo de Roa to preserve the region's historical heritage. Spanning 18,000 square meters on the hill of the San Pedro church, the complex comprises 157 underground cellars and seven cave presses dating back to the 15th century. To finance the restoration efforts, the project produces traditionally crafted wines and specialty beverages utilizing native grape varieties such as Tempranillo and Albillo Mayor. Supported by local volunteers and winemakers, the initiative combines the preservation of local traditions with wine tourism within the Ribera del Duero wine region.
The eno directory lists one wine.
