About the estate
The Cognac Bertrand estate has been family-run across generations since 1731 and looks back on a long history. The winery cultivates about 90 hectares of vineyards in the AOC Cognac region, specifically situated in the second cru of AOC Cognac Petite Champagne. The vineyards are located on limestone slopes between Jonzac and Archiac in an area known as Petite Fine Champagne. Characterized by an exceptional geology, the terroir is divided into three main parcel units named Les Brissons, Chez Bruneteau, and Laage. Managed by Samuel Bertrand alongside technical director Hervé Cormelier, the team produces eaux-de-vie with great aromatic complexity.
