About the estate
The CIV Cantina di Castelvetro enterprise is one of the nine pressing and vinification wineries of the Cantine Riunite & CIV cooperative group, which was established in 2008 from the merger of Cantine Riunite and the Consorzio Interprovinciale Vini. The winery is located in the heart of the Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOP denomination area. In this hilly region, over 200 members cultivate 500 hectares of vineyards. The harvested grapes are used to produce wines for the CIV&CIV and RIGHI brands, as well as Trebbiano dell'Emilia and must for traditional balsamic vinegar from Modena. The winegrowers apply natural cultivation methods with a low environmental impact.
