Chateau Pradeaux

About the estate

The Chateau Pradeaux estate is located in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer in Provence and has been managed by the Portalis family for several decades. The winery features 25 hectares of vineyards, with 20 hectares cultivated and divided across 28 parcels forming a natural amphitheater. The soils consist of clay and limestone with very ancient subsoils, planted with 80 percent Mourvèdre as the flagship variety and 15 percent Cinsault. This is complemented by traditional varieties such as Grenache, Carignan, Counoise, and Barbaroux, with an average vine age of 40 years. Since the 2023 vintage, the estate has been certified organic, maintaining a practice that avoids chemical weed killers and synthetic products entirely.
