Chateau Marie Plaisance

About the estate

The Château Marie Plaisance estate is located in the heart of the Bergerac wine region and has been owned by the same family for five generations. In 2007, the sibling generation took over the management of the estate, which is run by Thomas, François, Anne, and since 2017 also by Béryl. The name of the winery combines their mother's first name, Marie, with the surrounding slopes of the Coteaux de Plaisance. The estate has consistently pursued organic farming since 2010. The winery completely avoids synthetic pesticides and herbicides, relying instead on natural practices and grazing sheep to maintain soil health and biodiversity.
