About the estate
The Château Les Chaumes estate is situated in Fours on clay-limestone slopes overlooking the Gironde estuary on the right bank, with winegrowing activities documented as early as 1833. The property spans approximately 23 hectares of vineyards in the Blayais region, cultivating Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec grape varieties. Robert Parmentier acquired the estate in 1965, and it is currently led by Falcon Alxas, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern winemaking techniques. Vinification takes place using a combination of oak barrels, concrete vats, and stainless-steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit. Operating under sustainable and reasoned practices, the winery welcomes visitors throughout the year for tours and tastings.
The eno directory lists one wine. The estate sells to horeca.
