About the estate
The Château Lafon-Gitton estate was founded in 1945 by Marcel and Huguette Gitton and is managed today in family tradition. The estate spans 33 hectares across the AOC Sancerre, AOC Pouilly-Fumé, and AOC Coteaux du Giennois appellations. A strong focus lies on the diverse soils including flint around Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre with old vine stocks. The production consists of approximately eighty percent Sauvignon Blanc and twenty percent Pinot Noir. All wines are exclusively estate grown and bottled, and distributed to over thirty countries.
The estate sells to importers.
