Château de la Mar

About the estate

The Château de La Mar estate is located in Jongieux, Savoie, on the left bank of the Rhône and is firmly anchored in the middle of its six-hectare vineyards on the Marestel slope. The history of the property dates back over eight hundred years and is linked to various historical families as well as the Altesse vine variety brought back from Cyprus in the fifteenth century. Today, the traditional winery is managed by Mutualia Territoires Solidaires, who continue to develop the vineyard and its historical heritage. The vineyards are cultivated according to sustainable farming methods and hold the HV3 certification. The portfolio includes white wines from Marestel as well as red wines.
