About the estate
The Château de l'Aulée estate is located in Azay-le-Rideau in the Loire Valley and carries a winemaking heritage that began in 1856 when it was founded by Louise Cordier. Today, a dedicated team manages the vineyards using reasoned viticulture with the Bee Friendly label, which focuses on preserving biodiversity. The soils, consisting of clay, sand, and gravel along the Indre river and the Loire, provide ideal conditions for varieties such as Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. These grapes are used to produce traditional-method Crémant de Loire as well as still wines under the Touraine Azay-le-Rideau and Chinon appellations. The estate combines historical roots with modern methods to craft terroir-driven wines.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Cabernet Franc and Grolleau.
