About the estate

The Château de Caïx estate is owned by the Danish royal family and is located in the Lot valley within the Cahors region, where viticulture dates back millennia. The estate spans 24 hectares, and its wines have been vinified in the cellar adjacent to the castle since 1993. Since 2015, the royal family has partnered closely with the Vinovalie group for production and commercialisation. The portfolio ranges from accessible wines to complex crus that are renowned both in France and abroad. The estate has an export rate of approximately 80 percent.
