About the estate
The Château Coufran estate has been owned by the Miailhe family since 1924 and is located within the AOC Haut-Médoc appellation. Following historical crises, Louis Miailhe decided to replant the vineyards with Merlot, which consistently accounts for around 85 percent of the blend in recent vintages. This distinct characteristic led to the description of the estate as the Pomerol of the Médoc. The viticulture combines traditional and environmentally respectful practices with modern techniques to optimize grape quality. Furthermore, the estate specializes in late-released wines, allowing customers to enjoy a developed aromatic evolution upon purchase.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate sells to horeca.

Propriété de la famille Miailhe depuis 1924, le grand vin du Château COUFRAN est atypique pour le médoc ; son originalité vient de l’assemblage… l’assemblage des derniers millésimes est toujours autour de 85 % merlot.
