About the estate

The Chateau Atenuri winery is located in the Shida Kartli region near Gori in a historic winemaking area with ancient terraced vineyards and gardens. The vineyards lie in a traditional microzone that has been documented as royal property since the tenth century. The vineyards on the old terraces are planted primarily with the traditional grape varieties Chinuri, Tavkveri, Budeshuri, and Atenuri Saperavi. The wines are produced in the traditional method, which includes the use of chacha and cooling the vessels with ice. The resulting wine is characterized by a straw color, a harmonious taste, fruit notes, and an energetic play.
