About the estate
Founded in 1858, the Charles Bonvin SA estate cultivates steep vineyards in the Rhône Valley in the Valais region with a strong focus on terroir diversity. The traditional Bonvin family patiently shaped a prestigious winegrowing heritage in the best hillside locations of the valley. Both native grape varieties such as Petite Arvine, Amigne, Humagne, and Cornalin, and internationally renowned varieties like Marsanne blanche and Syrah are grown on the terraced vineyards. Master vintners cultivate the vines using environmentally respectful integrated production methods. The wines of the house are commercialized under specific domain appellations including Brûlefer, Clos du Château, and Terra Cotta.
