About the estate
The Champagne house Champagne Michael Hautem is located in the Premier Cru village of Villers-Marmery in the Montagne de Reims. In 2009, Michaël Hautem took over the family estate and now runs it together with Aurélie Hautem. The estate covers 2.78 hectares of vineyards, planted with 95 percent Chardonnay and five percent Pinot Noir. The winery practices environmentally conscious farming without chemical weed killers and holds certifications for high environmental values and sustainable viticulture. Harvesting is done by hand, and all wines are crafted directly on the estate.
