About the estate
The Caves Montani winery was founded in 1984 in Salgesch in the Valais by Leo Montani and his siblings, and is now run independently by Leo Montani with the active support of his family. The cultivation of the vineyards and the processing of the grapes follow established family tradition and respect the craftsmanship of their ancestors. Nutrient-rich soils on the sunny slopes of Salgesch provide the optimal foundation for the estate's viticulture. The wines are produced in a traditional manner from select regional grapes and are distributed through their own shop as well as directly at the estate.
