About the estate
The Cave du Fort estate in Begnins has been run as a family business since 1953. It was established by Louis Métroz, who arrived in the region in 1935 and produced the first vintage in 1953. Today, the family cultivates a vineyard area of six hectares within the AOC La Côte and AOC Vaud denominations. The portfolio comprises seven grape varieties, including Chasselas, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Gamaret, Garanoir, Pinot Gris, and Gewürztraminer. The winery is currently managed across generations by André-Louis Métroz and his daughter Fanny.
The eno directory lists 9 wines, mostly from Gamay and Chasselas.
