About the estate
The Castello di Gussago - La Santissima estate is located on the Monte della Santissima in Gussago in the heart of Franciacorta and is managed by the Gozio family. Across a total of 20 hectares of vineyards distributed around the historic monastery and throughout the municipality, grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, Cabernet, and Merlot are cultivated. The soils range from clay-loam-limestone to loose morainic soils with a good skeletal component. This harvested fruit is used to produce wines under the Curtefranca DOC and Franciacorta DOCG denominations, among others.
