About the estate

The Castelfeder estate in Kurtinig an der Weinstraße cultivates a total of 70 hectares of vineyards, with about 70 percent planted to white grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon. The remaining 30 percent is dedicated to red varieties, led clearly by Pinot Nero. The Giovanett family balances tradition with modernity, producing wines under denominations including Alto Adige DOC and Alto Adige Santa Maddalena DOC. Since 2011, the family has also cultivated the Tenuta Sorentberg estate in the Mosel region in Germany, producing Riesling. Additionally, Castelfeder distributes wines from selected partner wineries across Italy throughout Europe.
