About the estate
The Cantina sociale Rivalta Borimda was founded as a cooperative in 1952 by forty winegrowers from Rivalta Bormida, Orsara Bormida, and Castelnuovo Bormida. Today, the estate unites around 150 members who cultivate grapes across roughly 500 hectares of vineyards in the Alto Monferrato Alessandrino area of southern Piedmont. The delivered grapes originate exclusively from the region and are registered in local DOC and DOCG appellations. The main grape varieties cultivated by the winery include Dolcetto, Barbera, Cortese, Moscato, Brachetto, Chardonnay, alongside several other traditional varieties. The produced wines reflect the classic spectrum of the appellation.
