About the estate

The Cantina Giacco Soc. Coop. Agr. winery is situated in the landscapes of western Sicily within the Belice river valley, continuing the winemaking tradition of Salaparuta that began in 1824. In 1977, Stillone Nunzio established the winery in Contrada Giacco before the operations relocated to the old center of Salaparuta in the early 1980s. The vineyards of the supplying growers are located across the municipalities of Salaparuta, Poggioreale, Gibellina, Contessa Entellina, and Santa Margherita Belice. The portfolio includes wines from the Salaparuta DAC, Sicilia DOC, and Terre Siciliane IGT appellations.
