About the estate
The Calatroni Vini estate in Montecalvo Versiggia has been cultivating vineyards since 1964 and is currently managed by the third-generation brothers Cristian and Stefano. The winery farms over 25 hectares of vineyards organically with a strong focus on sustainability across the entire production chain. While initial production focused on traditional local wines made from Croatina and Barbera, the estate now places a major emphasis on Pinot Nero, vinifying it as a red wine and particularly as white and rosé Metodo Classico sparkling wine. In addition to winemaking, the family also runs an agritourism business and offers wine tourism experiences.
