About the estate

The history of Bodegas Zintzo stems from a long family winemaking tradition rooted in Villabuena de Álava within Rioja Alavesa. In 1994, the family launched its own brand under the DOCa Rioja designation. Later on, the founders' sons expanded the project by opening a new winery near Laguardia that combines modern technology with traditional methods. The estate manages a total of 40 hectares of its own vineyards. The production process involves stainless steel tanks, temperature-controlled fermentation, and the aging of selected wines in oak barrels.
