About the estate

The winery Bodegas y viñedos Illana, Finca Buenavista is managed by the fourth generation as a family estate and is located in the center of the Ribera del Júcar denomination in the village of Aldea Buenavista. The estate comprises 100 hectares of own vineyards situated at an average altitude of 750 meters above sea level with clay-limestone soils adorned with pebbles. The grape variety portfolio includes native varieties such as Cencibel, also known as Tempranillo, and Bobal, alongside international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon Blanc. Viticulture is conducted organically, and the winery holds certifications such as the ISO 14001 standard and Wineries for Climate Protection for environmental management.
