About the estate
The Bodegas Viña Ijalba winery has its roots in the 1970s when Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba planted his first vineyard, leading to the official foundation of the bodega in 1991. Today, the family-run estate in La Rioja is managed by the third generation and cultivates around eighty hectares of vineyards within the Rioja DOCa denomination. The winery is recognized as a pioneer in the production of organic wines, focusing on traditional methods and rare grape varieties such as Graciano, Maturana Blanca, and Maturana Tinta. The working philosophy relies on a strong commitment to environmental protection and the conviction that exceptional wines are cultivated directly at the origin.
The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Tempranillo and Maturana Blanca.
