About the estate

The Bodegas Loli Casado estate is a third-generation family winery rooted in the Rioja Alavesa region, with a history tracing back over a century. Originating in the era of grandfather Eusebio as a mixed subsistence farm, the property still preserves a subterranean cellar carved into the ground from those early days. During the 1960s, the second generation under Luis expanded the vineyards and transitioned further into viticulture before establishing their own wine brands in 1982. Since taking the reins in the year 2000, the current generation has added modern winemaking facilities and complementary labels to the portfolio. Producing under the Rioja DOCa denomination with brands such as Jaun de Alzate and Polus, the winery emphasizes manual harvesting and respect for the surrounding environment.
