About the estate

The Bodegas Castelo de Medina winery is located in Villaverde de Medina in the heart of the Rueda denominación de origen and began its journey in November 1995. The estate cultivates 180 hectares of its own vineyards with a special focus on the Verdejo grape variety, complemented by Sauvignon Blanc as well as rosé and red wines from Castilla y León. The architecture of the winery combines traditional Castilian style with modern technological equipment for winemaking. For maturation, the estate features an underground barrel room with around 800 French and American oak barrels as well as modern concrete eggs. The project is currently led by the Bonet Ferrer family in a new phase of evolution and development.
