About the estate

The Bodegas Casa Juan estate was founded in the first half of the last century in Laguardia and expanded in the 1950s. Today, the family-run winery cultivates twenty hectares of its own vineyards in Rioja, planted with the Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Garnacha, and Viura grape varieties. The grapes, tended year-round by the winemakers and their family, are harvested after ripening checks and processed on the same day. Vinification methods include both traditional carbonic maceration for young wines and destemmed fermentation for the crianza lines. The wines mature in a collection of 500 barrels made of American, Bosnian, and Allier oak.
