About the estate
The history of Bodegas Balbás, S.L. in La Horra in the heart of Ribera del Duero dates back to 1777 and has since been managed by the same family for seven generations. The estate cultivates 140 hectares of its own vineyards surrounding the area. The plantings are dominated by Tinta del País, complemented by small plots of Albillo Mayor, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery combines traditional knowledge with a contemporary approach to produce wines that faithfully reflect their origin.
