About the estate
The Bodega Pago Traslagares winery was built by the Martínez Gaona family in the municipality of Rueda, resuming the winemaking tradition inherited from their grandparents. The estate manages a vineyard area of 35 hectares distributed across the Traslagares, Torreón, and Papín plots, which are planted predominantly with the native Verdeja variety alongside a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc. The soils of the west-facing hillside vineyards consist of gravelly brown earth rich in calcium and magnesium. During vinification, the winery utilizes gravity within a modern, partially semi-submerged building to process the musts gently. All wines produced by the estate carry the Rueda protected designation of origin.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc.
