About the estate
The Bodega La Granadilla in Nava del Rey in Castilla y León cultivates 104 hectares of vineyards within the Rueda DO denomination. Five siblings from the Descalzo Matos family founded the winery, which specializes in the cultivation of the Verdejo grape variety. The vine-trained vineyards are situated at an altitude of 750 meters in a continental climate with Atlantic winds between Villaverde de Medina and Nava del Rey. David and Miguel Descalzo Matos manage the vineyard cultivation, while Roberto Descalzo Matos oversees the winemaking processes. The portfolio includes barrel-aged wines as well as the Verdejo from the single vineyard Finca Valdelavaca.
