About the estate

The Bodega El Lagar de las Puntillas winery builds upon a winemaking tradition with roots leading back to an old estate cellar dating from 1894. The estate cultivates eighty-five hectares of vineyards situated at an altitude of around 730 meters in the Jumilla area, including parcels in Las Puntillas, El Gamellón, and Sierra de la Cingla. The predominant grape variety is Monastrell, which accounts for eighty percent of the plantings, alongside Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Garnacha Tintorera. Annual production reaches approximately 50,000 bottles, crafted entirely from estate-grown grapes within a facility equipped with modern stainless steel tanks and seventy French oak barrels. All wines are certified under the protected designation of origin Jumilla.
