About the estate

The Berarte Viñedos y Bodegas S.L. estate is a family-run winery located in Villabuena de Álava in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, operating in the wine sector since 1970 and currently managed by the third generation. The company cultivates fourteen hectares of estate-owned vineyards with an average vine age of over forty years, situated between the Sierra de Cantabria and the Ebro River. These dry-farmed vineyards feature clay-limestone soils and are planted with Tempranillo and Viura. In 2018, the winery inaugurated a new building designed across three levels to utilize gravity during the winemaking process. Production focuses on organic wines with the Rioja DOCa designation of origin.
