About the estate

The Bendl Familie Herbert estate cultivates a vineyard area of five hectares in Jetzelsdorf in the Weinviertel region. On loess and sand soils, grape varieties such as Blauer Portugieser, Zweigelt, Blauburger, Cabernet Sauvignon, Welschriesling, Grüner Veltliner, and Pinot Blanc thrive. Vineyard management includes moderate pruning, intensive foliage work, and integrated plant protection. In the cellar, red wine production involves a traditional open fermentation process as well as maturation in oak barrels and partially in Limousin oak barriques. The wines are distributed to private customers and the gastronomy sector.
