The Bannert estate in Obermarkersdorf looks back on a long history and has been managed in the sixth generation since 1856. Located in the heart of the Weinviertel region, the traditional winery cultivates sites with diverse soils such as granite, loess, and clayey marine sediments. The grape variety portfolio includes Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Zweigelt, which are produced under the Weinviertel DAC designation. Vinification combines modern technology using stainless steel tanks with the maturation of red wines in French oak barriques. Led by Manfred and Nici Bannert, the winery stands for characterful wines and authentic winemaking.
