About the estate
The family winery Ayala, S.C., Hnos de based in Briñas, Spain, looks back on a long winemaking tradition dating back to 1853 when an ancestor acquired a historic stone mansion with a cellar. The vineyards are situated at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria, where the family tends to the vines and crafts wines following traditional methods combined with new values. For production and aging, the estate utilizes century-old stone caves, concrete tanks, and modern underground facilities equipped with stainless steel tanks and more than 500 oak barrels. The aging process is completed in a large bottle rack with significant capacity, and the wines are distributed under the Rioja DOCa denomination.
