About the estate

The Agrovia - Sociedade Agro - Pecuária, S. A. estate has a history spanning over 300 years, originating in 1706 when D. Lourenço de Almeida acquired the property. Spanning approximately 72 hectares of vineyards, it is situated in a unique location among the fertile hills east of the Montejunto mountain range, a territory that is now part of the Tejo DOC wine region. The predominantly clay-limestone soils and distinctive terroir provide the ideal conditions for expressive wines characterized by remarkable freshness and aging potential. Following modern developments, new winery facilities were built and the vineyards were replanted with traditional native grape varieties alongside selected international varieties.
