About the estate
The Adega A Tapada estate is located in the eastern part of the Valdeorras region at the foot of the Peñas Marias. Its microclimate features Atlantic influences combined with continental characteristics, providing the vineyard, situated at an altitude of approximately 500 meters, with optimal sun exposure. The soils consist of high-quality Ordovician slates with a silty-clay texture and good drainage. The vineyard was planted with the Godello grape variety in 1985, following a sustainable working method that almost exclusively employs sulfur and copper sulfate. Built in the early nineties, the modern winery facility is designed exclusively for processing the estate's own grapes and utilizes stainless steel tanks as well as French and American oak barrels and acacia wood for maturation.
