Présentation du domaine
Le domaine Podere Erica est situé au cœur du Chianti en Toscane et a été fondé en 2005 par Neal et Jan Dempsey. La propriété applique constamment des méthodes biologiques et biodynamiques tant dans le vignoble que dans la cave afin de produire des vins naturels marqués par leur terroir, sans ajouts chimiques et avec de très faibles taux de sulfites. En plus des vignes, le domaine comprend une ferme restaurée et une oliveraie. L'œnologue Marco Giordano dirige l'exploitation et la production, tandis que Pierpaolo Chelo supervise les ventes et le marketing.
L'annuaire eno recense 5 vins, principalement issus de Sangiovese et Canaiolo.

Il Picchio (Woodpecker) represents our riserva and is made of our best hand-selected Sangiovese grapes, aged 24 months in French oak barrels. It is ruby red with a bouquet of ripe cherries, sweet tobacco and violets with a touch of pepper.
