The Zweifel 1898 company looks back on a long tradition dating back to 1440 with the documentary mention of Höngg vines, while the company was founded in 1898. The Zweifel-Vogt family and their team cultivate and manage vineyards in various locations from Lake Zurich to Aargau, including Höngg, Stäfa, Männedorf, Regensberg, Oberengstringen, Weiningen, Otelfingen, and Remigen. Numerous grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Riesling-Silvaner, Räuschling, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and various PiWi varieties thrive on the diverse soils including gravel, loam, sandstone, marl, and limestone. In addition to its own wine production and vinification in Höngg, the company also acts as a general and direct importer for wines from around the globe.
